The base shoe corners are made in a radius to fit the base corner and the typical dimension is 7/16" x 3/4".  Since the base corner is already thicker than the base molding, the base shoe corner fits nicely to 7/16" or 1/2" base shoel 

     These corners can be installed with hot melt or construction adhesive or they can be braded into place.  The results are a rich and pleasing look with less tedious labor and the installation is much quicker, making your trim cost less to be installed.
